19May12 - Breath of Life
Awesome news today - our new friend, Heather, is being released from hospital today! Heather bid farewell to her own ailing lungs and was gifted with new ones on 21Feb. Her bronchoscopy this week showed zero rejection and zero infection! We are so excited for her, she will be released from hospital today and hopes to be on her way home at the end of the month....we are counting the days down for her - and may pass one another along the highway!

You go girl!

  1. Hi Pam
Just found out about Carmen today and wanted to touch base with you. I completely understand what the two of you are going through as my husband had surgeries a few years ago for Stage 4 cancer. It was a long and uncertain journey, but the medical attention he received was amazing and we realized just how blessed we are to live in Canada. He did some of his recovery in the transplant unit here in London. (and he is well today) Transplant care is a whole new level of care. Please know we are praying for new lungs for Carmen very soon, and that God's hand would be on this surgery.

    1. Hi Wendy, thanks so much for your note - and your prayers! I couldn't agree more, we are blessed to be Canadians and as much as you hear complaints about our health care system (it's not perfect) we have experienced A-1 care on this journey. The transplant team have been wonderful...very caring and professional at every turn. So glad to hear you had a similar experience and good results. Carman and I thank you for following us and look forward to hearing more from you again. PH
