Weekend Visits & Fun!

01Dec - Saturday Our Golf Buddies Visit

So, how do you best a weekend that starts with going to a Raptors game at which they win? Your golf buddies show up at your door the next day, toting a cooler of cold beers (both regular and de-alcoholized) and a bag full of munchies (chips & veggies)!

Cheryl came to visit and dragged Troy and Ronnie V (yes, that’s RV for short), with her for the afternoon. She and I had planned to take our cameras and sketchbooks out for a workout, but the temperatures outside were not favourable to that. We were forced to stay inside and listen to the guys tell each other lies about their golf games, prowess at sports in general and overall value to the human race.

I know a good time was had by all, our cheeks were sore from laughing by the time they donned their warm jackets and ventured out to the highway to head home. Thanks for coming folks, we’re looking forward to another visit very soon!

Dining & Games, Chez Cahvah

Just as they headed out the door, Jess texted to check in on our plans for the evening. Carla was busy making dinner for us all and there were Games! waiting to be played later. She wanted us to bring Dominoes and see if B-rad would dominate in that field like he does with everything else. 

As we enter the Carver condo we’re welcomed by the aromas of sweet and sour pork, steamed veggies and, something like nervous sweat...ahhh, must be Brad, already worried about the game!  After a delicious dinner, we clear the table and prepare for some muchacha Mexican Train.

There is some banter back and forth as the game progresses, some not nice words cross the table as moves are made that thwart the opponents game winning plans, until the scores are talled and B-rad emerges as...well the big winner was CARMAN!

02Dec - Sunday

Carla and I headed out to do some shopping today, with stops at Walmart, Costco and Canadian Tire. We are now replenished of paper products, Ensure, Protein Bars, sport socks and yes, Dj, after a mere 5 trips back and forth...a Ninja is in dee house! 

Four trips was plenty, I gave up on the CT near us and went to a different store to use my rain check! Smoothie power at its best with the Ninja Pro Blender Baby!
