We Say Cheese for Al & Breathless Buddies Play ON!

27Dec
As a special gift to Carman I have asked our friend, Al Petman, to shoot the clan today! We haven’t had a family photo/portrait done in about 20 years and needless to say, we’ve all changed a bit it that time. Dj coordinated with Kyle & Jennifer to find a date and time that would work for everyone - no easy feat when dealing with 5 adults with busy schedules and holiday commitments. After much texting back and forth, a service of sibling sass and some juggling of schedules, they made it happen though and everyone showed up again today at 11 in preparation for Al’s arrival.

We decided to do the shoot in the lobby of our building (our unit is too small to gather everyone in any given spot) to avoid having to make Carman travel anywhere. Al has been passionate about photography for many years and specializes in giving everyday shots a unique look with his Justaclick touches (click his company name to check out some of his work, be sure you view the Gallery).

Here is a taste of what he did for us:

Breathless Buddies Christmas Dinner & Game ON!
This afternoon we’ve planned to have turkey dinner followed by games with our Breathless Buddies Group. We are from different parts of the Atlantic provinces, far from home and extended family and have created a social network of friends from our Physio sessions.

I arranged with Jim, Manager at The Blake House (located near our building and frequently visited by us with our visitors) to cater our dinner. this way we’d be assured of a very tasty meal and none of the support people would have to lift a finger!

True to our in-house experience, Jim and The Blake House staff delivered, to us in our building’s Dining Room, in spades - individually packaged, our dinners arrived hot and delicious! We had hoped that Jess & Brad would be here with us, but with her still in hospital, he opted to keep her company. Don't worry - we ordered dinner for them too - I'll deliver it tomorrow.

As is usual with this group, the fellowship of dinner was followed by an evening of games, laughs and a bit of ribbing (all in good fun, of course).
