Squat Team & Walmart Physio

Physio means we’ll see our friend Mark again and the Squat Team will be in action! Mark reported that all went even better than planned at Jessica’s (Mark’s daughter) wedding. He was not only able to walk her down the aisle, but executed a lovely father/daughter dance! Wahoo! All that hard work in physio has paid off big time! He and Alisha (daughter & Tuesday support coach) both had phone pics to show us - a gorgeous wedding party and a handsome Dad (without his cannula for pics) standing proudly with a beautiful Mom (Diane)! Well done Mark, so glad you’re feeling better and were able to do this! Well done Jessica, Alisha and Diane for excellent coaching to get Mark back on his feet in time - hooray!

Back to work at Physio, executing the perfect squat, in unison with Jess & Carman...we tried the piston pose too (each one dipped a second after the other) and Liz (another Physio friend) offered her pencil as a baton so I could direct them, but someone had trouble with the numbers 1, 2 and 3 and remembering which number they belonged (...hmmm which person in the middle could that be?) to so we ended up settling for all together now...

SQUAT!

...and rest!

Ahh, the messier the better!
On Friday we took ourselves to The Blake House for lunch, since it was such a nice fall afternoon. As luck would have it, our friend Heather was working and brought us the most delicious wings (for Carman) and a lobster grilled cheese & roasted red pepper & ginger soup for me!

Later we engaged in a session of Walmart Physio (almost as good as the treadmill). Carman had finished up the last of the Ensure we had, so he agreed to make the trip to the Stock Yards and walk around the store with me. The shelves were bare of the high calorie and high protein Ensure so we picked up some Boost instead (bonus: it was on sale). Along with the Boost, we grabbed a file box (for all our medical paperwork) and threw some long underwear (getting cooler out), shaving supplies and Twizzlers (feel good food) into the basket and were finally able to get a disposable camera (they've been sold out all summer). Since he did so well getting around the store, Carman earned a stop on the way home...for a Grande mocha-crappa-frappa-no whip-something-or-other at Starbucks, of course!

It's the weekend...yeah!
