Roger and Heather came to visit from London this morning! Sleeping Beauty had pushed the snooze too many times today, so was still in bed when the conceirge called to say they had arrived. Now that I know how fast he can get out of bed and dressed...
R&H knew we had clinic today, so didn’t stay long, but brought us a movie and stayed long enough for us to get caught up and plan to visit again. Heather explained that the movie was one they both thoroughly enjoyed, but had a hard time getting to us...having had to go back for it after they left home this morning, then forgetting to bring it up to the apartment from the truck! Evidently it’s perpetually, coming soon...but now in our hands - thanks Roger!
The benefits of physio were even more evident today, when he weighed-in at our clinical appointment, Carman tipped the scale at 170.5 lbs. Now before you jump to conlcusions, although they certainly have their merits, it’s not just the butter tarts and cherry pie...while he doesn’t look like he weighs any more than he did in March, he’s up 4.5 lbs and is gaining some muscle tone - yeah! No Mr. Atlas competition in his near future, but we’ll settle for Mr. Owner of New Lungs any day!
Tomorrow evening, we’re off to London after physio for appointments with our respirology specialist there on Friday. In the small world category...the Med-Fellow who did Carman’s initial exam at clinic today, studied under our London specialist, so we’ll be bringing a big hello from him!
If all goes well, and Carman is up to it, we’ll be attending the wedding of our friend Doug, to his beloved Laura (he finally convinced her it was a good idea) on Friday evening. Here’s hoping he shows...we’ve heard the Melvins are playing at Call the Office on Friday night - this creates a big conflict in Doug's schedule!
This blog is on haiatus until Monday...I recommend reading a book til then :o)
