We’ve made plans to have Jess, Heather & Shilpa join us for the afternoon and to introduce them to one of our favourite games - Dominoes, Cardinal Mexican Train! We didn’t bring our 15’s set, but Alex and Birdie have lent us their 12’s.
The game takes until supper time and Shilpa shows us how being new to the game doesn’t mean you can’t win! Congrats - a score of 151 gives her bragging rights over the rest of us - Carman finishes second at 200, Jess is third at 204, I finish with 284 and Heather - gets stuck with some high powered dominoes and ends with a whopping 442 points! Ouch! This is in spite of her attempts to play Carman’s train “because it was closer” and easier to reach! Better luck next game Heather!
We clear the game and set the table for dinner - Carman has rustled up a Swiss Chalet Family pack with rotisserie chicken, baked potatoes, coleslaw and a few fries and I've made an Asian Quinoa & Veggie salad to throw in the mix.
It was a great day spent with wonderful friends...
