Our friend, and lung transplant recipient, Hélène Campbell, has been hard at work once again, bringing attention to and promoting Organ Donation. Facebook has now included Canada in the countries in which Facebook users can share their Organ Donor status with their friends! This feature was launched in Britain and the US in May and will hopefully “go viral” throughout the world.
Following are a link to the announcement in the Globe and Mail, along with instructions on how to add this event to your Facebook Timeline:
You can now share that you’re an organ donor from your FB timeline. Here's how to do that once logged into your Facebook page:
- Click Life Event at the top of your timeline
- Select Health & Wellness
- Select Organ Donor
- Select your audience and click Save
Note: This feature is only available in some countries. In order to share this life event, you need to upgrade to timeline.
