Pre-Post Lunch & Something in the Air

10Sep
Today Jane & Al will be in town for a follow up appointment so we’ve arranged to have lunch  together in the TGH food court between her appointments and our physio session. We selected our food of choice and gather the gang around a table, (Jess (pre), Heather, Jane (post), Al, Carman (pre) & I) when we spot Ruth (post) & Don also grabbing lunch and insist they join us. It turns out Don is today’s birthday boy, so best wishes are exchanged and then the guessing game ensues as to which birthday it could be. While we didn’t insist on seeing ID, like a fine wine, none of us can believe he is as old as he claims to be!

Part way thru our little gathering, Jess mentions that she is getting congested, my eyes are getting itchy and a couple of others in our group agree that there is something in the air. We figure it must be something to do with the construction going on in the building and end up finishing up without lingering too long.  Both Jess & Carman find physio a grind after that and I can’t help think it has to do with the air quality in the food court.

While they are finishing up in The Treadmill Room, I pop down to see Heather for a few minutes. Her infection results are great (it’s gone) but rejection treatment plan is still in flux and so I tell her that I’ll bring Carman for a visit after physio on Tuesday. We must be careful that neither of them has any infection before they are in a room together. Consequently, although they’ve been cyber friends since May 5th, when my sister Penny & her colleague Alison (a friend of Heather’s) connected us; and we live in the condo her Mom rented while Heather was here for transplant...they haven't met face to face yet!...
