Weekend's Over

4Jun12
Well the weekend is gone and it’s time to get down to business...Carman makes a call to VitalAire to coordinate oxyen delivery for this week and to request a meeting with a respiratory therapist to re-assess his oxygen therapy perscription. We think his lung function has changed again since March, as he becomes winded with less exertion. We are also uncertain about his needs during sleep.

Mid-afternoon our eldest daughter, Jennifer, drops in for a visit. We haven’t seen her since our March trip and she is, as she says, “not much a phone person” so we have lots of catching up to do - much nicer to do in person!
Near the end of her visit, Dad suggests we take a walk around the property. No sooner do we step out the fornt door than our little tour turns into a walk in the rain! We get to the end of the lane, bid Jen goodbye and turn to go back inside...and then it really starts to rain!
We’ve had a deluge of emails since my last blog update advisory - thank you all so very much! It’s these notes from our family & friends - updating us on their family happenings and offering words of encouragement and prayers - that cheer our spirits and keep us going day to day. We treasure every note, phone call and email! Keep them coming...
Our first - “Hey friends, welcome to TO” call comes from Lynnette in the early evening. She and her husband Henry were the first new friends we made when we moved to NB - they have since returned to Ontario and are sorely missed by us and our fellow coffe club members! Another bright spot on our horizon...we’re close enough to be able to visit - so we'll get that arranged very soon!
